I posted this earlier, and called it Infrastructure Problem?
I am happy to report that this bridge is currently being repaired. Right now, there is temporary light-controlled traffic over the bridge, and the heavy equipment is on-site. There is also a rather large rebar cage on the side of the road.
We are happy that the bridge will be fixed. I am not an engineer or a transportation/roadway expert, but it kinda looked unsafe in its state of disrepair.
Plus, it is nice to see that some folks still have steady employment in this declining economy.
I may have mentioned that I enjoy creek walking. This is a bridge over a creek that we often visit to take treats to the fish.
Here is the close-up of the large crack in the cement, that runs from the top of the bridge to the bottom:
We would not want to go all crazy in this country and create any jobs to repair our infrastructure though, would we?
